This two-week HR Internship provides interns with the opportunity to conduct an end to end recruitment process –from sourcing to onboarding talent for The Social Impact Project (S.I.P)

The Social Impact Project (S.I.P), is a mutually beneficial online social impact internship which enables young adults to be a part of the development sector, while enhancing their productivity, through a carefully integrated mentorship program. Here’s a quick overview of your journey:

 

Yes, we provide certificates to HR Interns who have successfully completed the HR Internship, based on their overall performance.

 You will NOT be provided with a Database of potential candidates. You will be required to reach out to YOUR college mates, friends, or anyone who is currently a student.

 You will NOT be required to raise funds. Only the interns who you successfully recruit for the Fundraising Internship will be required to raise funds for a Non-Profit Organisation. However, you are welcome to apply for the Fundraising Internship yourself if you would like to create impact and upgrade your skills through the integrated mentorship program.

We offer an extension of the HR Internship, as well as opportunities to explore other Internships with us at CometAid, based on the performance of our Interns.

This two-week HR Internship provides interns with the opportunity to conduct an end to end recruitment process – from sourcing to onboarding talent for The Social Impact Project (S.I.P). Rest assured, you will be thoroughly trained and equipped with the necessary resources to undertake the recruitment process. 

You will also be introduced to other facets of HRM such as Organisation Culture, Database Management, Performance Management, etc. which will additionally enhance your learning experience. Whether you aspire to take up HR as a career or intend to acquire an MBA, you will definitely benefit from this internship. 

Week One : Team Recruitment
The selected interns will be involved in an end-to-end recruitment campaign during the first week of your internship. You will be expected to reach out to your college peers in order to recruit interns for the Social Impact Project.

The Details!

The HR Internship provides interns with the opportunity to undertake an end to end recruitment process from sourcing to onboarding talent by reaching out to college mates, friends or anyone who is currently a student, for The Social Impact Project (S.I.P). 

If you’re up for fun, learning, and creating impact, we would love to have you on board. 

  • Duration: 2 weeks
  • Time commitment: 2-3 hours/day.
  • Location: This is a work-from-home internship.
  • Medium of Communication: English
  • Stipend: The selected intern will be eligible for a stipend provided you’ve successfully recruited at least 4 participants for SIP. You will be eligible to receive INR 100 for every successful recruit.
  • You want to gain practical experience in the HR field and are open to learning (and un-learning).
  • Your thirst for knowledge and practical experience, outweighs the value of a certificate or stipend.
  • You should be willing to source potential candidates by reaching out to your college mates, friends, or anyone who is currently a student.
  • You should currently be enrolled in an undergraduate program.
  • You should have access to a good internet connection.
  • Reach out to prospective target audiences (college mates, friends or anyone who is currently a student) and recruit interns for The Social Impact Project (S.I.P).
  • Work on calling, screening, and shortlisting interns for The Social Impact Project (S.I.P).
  • Maintain candidate database and generate reports from time to time.
  • Act as Team Lead to monitor and enhance the performance of the team.

First of all, I loved the short duration and different elements of the internship because if you're doing the same work for a long time it gets a little boring. I got to learn so much! And I was treated with equal importance like an employee. You shouldn't judge the time frame, because I have done HR interships before and I didn't really get to learn half as much as I did at CometAid. They also make you accountable by letting you make decisions and take on responsibility like an employee and not give the left over work to interns like other companies tend to do.

I liked how formalised the entire process was and how all of us were trained properly instead of just being thrown into work. This internship program teaches almost all basic HR functions in a short amount of time. The team holds regular meetings to catch up on work and to help each other.
